Radico Khaitan Limited is among the oldest & one of the largest manufacturers of Indian Made Foreign Liquor in India that was started on 21st July 1983. It is formerly known as Rampur Distillery Radico Khaitan started its operations in 1943 and over the years turned up as a major bulk spirits supplier and bottler to other spirit manufacturers. Presently, it has 4 millionaire brands which are 8PM Whisky, Contessa, Rum, Old Admiral Brandy, and Magic Moments Vodka.
Radico Khaitan is one of the largest providers of branded IMFL to the Canteen Stores Department which has significant business barriers to entry. It has been successfully building its brand equity in international markets and presently exports its products to over seventy countries. It has 3 distilleries in Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) and 2 in joint venture RNV in Aurangabad (Maharashtra) in which Radico Khaitan has 36% equity. It has a total capacity of over 157 million liters and runs 28 bottling units spread across the country.
MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS
- With effective from 1st January of the year 1997, Radicokhaitan was merged with Abhishek Cement Ltd (ACL). The merged company renamed Radico Khaitan Ltd. Radico's flagship brand 8 PM Whisky was set up in 1999.
- In 2003-2004, Radico had attained M/s Anab-e-Shahi Wines and Distilleries Pvt Ltd.

- Brandy: It markets brandy under the name 8 PM Excellency Brandy & Old Admiral.

MILESTONES
- During 2004-2005: Radico Khaitan’s green field bottling plant was launched at Bajpur Industrial area Uttaranchal for bottling of 600000 cases. It had launched a fully automatic 750 ml kidney shaped PET bottle manufacturing plant in Uttaranchal and also added additional capacity for molasses at Rampur.
- In 2006: It had inked an overseas Joint Venture agreement in the UK and Western Africa. Diageo the world's largest drinks company and Radico made an equal JV in the Indian sprits market.
- In 2007: Diageo Radico Distilleries Pvt Ltd the joint venture between Diageo and the company had launched Masterstroke Deluxe Whisky a blend of Premium whiskies. It had launched a grain-based distillery at its Rampur plant with a capacity of 27 KLPA. It's JV with Diageo - Diaego Radico Distilleries Pvt Ltd had set up a new brand - Masterstroke Deluxe whiskey - in the premium segment.
- During 2014: Radico NV Distilleries Maharashtra Ltd a Joint Venture of the company received a Private Sector Investment subsidy from the Government of Maharashtra of Rs. 39.8 Cr. Radico NV Distilleries Maharashtra Ltd has also installed a evaporation plant with molasses alcohol plant which has the effect of decreasing generation of effluent by about 80% and has created the plant a zero discharge plant.
- In 2016: It set up 2 new whiskies: Regal Talons Semi Premium Whisky & Rampur Indian Single Malt.
- During 2017: It installed and commissioned integrated evaporators in the grain spirits plant which converts the entire thin slop into wet cake that can be sold as cattle fodder. This has helped in bringing down the effluent discharge from grain plant to zero. It also installed and commissioned integrated evaporators in molasses distillation plant resulting in decrease of spent wash generation by approximately 45%.
- During 2018: It set up 8PM Premium Black whisky and Morpheus Blue semi luxury brandy offering its loyal consumers an opportunity to upgrade to superior blends and higher category brands.
- During 2017-2018: It got several awards for its leading brands. These awards are a testament to the Company's innovation and quality of products. This Trophy is awarded for products which has reached a high quality level i.e. Grand Gold or Gold over three consecutive years.
