• According to various news reports, ABCL may come up with the IPO of around Rs. 5,000 cr. of its AMC ‘Aditya Birla SunLife Mutual Fund’.

• Talking about the current shareholding of the Aditya Birla SunLife Mutual Fund, 51% of the stake is held by Aditya Birla Capital share price & rest 49% stake is held by a Karnataka based company Sun Life.

• Total Asset Under Management (AUM) of Aditya Birla SunLife Mutual Fund is Rs. 3 lakh crores. For this AMC business, estimated Market Value is about Rs. 26,000 crores.

• Out of the rough market valuation of this AMC of Rs. 26,000 crores, nearly 20% i.e., Rs. 5,000 cr. of the stake sale can be done by both the promoters (AB Capital & SunLife).

• IPO of Aditya Birla SunLife Mutual Fund can come in the first quarter of FY22 by June 2021.

• The Market Capitalization of AB Capital stock is around Rs. 31,700 cr. Whereas the estimated market valuation of the AMC business is about Rs. 26,000 crores. Accordingly, market valuation of AB Capital of Rs. 13,000 crores accounts to their AMC business for their stake of 51%.
