Standalone Q2FY21 results

  • The income from operations increased by 26.1% to Rs. 3,408 crores in Q2FY21 (Quarter ended Mar 31, 2021) from Rs. 2,703 crores in Q2FY20 (Quarter ended Mar 31, 2020).
  • EBITDA for quarter ended 31st Mar 2021 stood at Rs. 495 crores. It was growth of 66.1% from Quarter ended 31st Mar 2020 EBITDA of Rs. 298 crores.
  • EBITDA Margin for Q2FY21 stood at 14.5% as compared to Q2FY20 EBITDA margin of 11%.
  • PBT for Q2FY21 stood at Rs. 432 crores as compared to Rs. 221 crores in Q2FY20, a growth of 94.8%.
  • PAT increased by 90.8% to Rs. 328 crores in Q2FY21 as compared to Rs. 172 crores in Q2FY20. PAT margin stood at 9.6% improving from 6.4% for same period previous year.

 

Consolidated Q2FY21 results

  • The income from operations increased by 31.9% to Rs. 3,484 crores in Q2FY21 (Quarter ended Mar 31, 2021) from Rs. 2,640 crores in Q2FY20 (Quarter ended Mar 31, 2020).
  • EBITDA for quarter ended 31st Mar 2021 stood at Rs. 514 crores. It was growth of 69.4% from Quarter ended 31st Mar 2020 EBITDA of Rs. 303 crores.
  • EBITDA Margin for Q2FY21 stood at 14.8% as compared to Q2FY20 EBITDA margin of 11.5%.
  • PBT for Q2FY21 stood at Rs. 443 crores as compared to Rs. 227 crores in Q2FY20, a growth of 95.2%.
  • PAT increased by 90.3% to Rs. 334 crores in Q2FY21 as compared to Rs. 176 crores in Q2FY20. PAT margin stood at 9.6% improving from 6.7% for same period previous year.

 

Standalone HY21 results (6 months Ended 31st Mar 2021)

  • The income from operations increased by 19.9% to Rs. 6,366 crores in HY21 (6 months ending Mar 31, 2021) from Rs. 5,309 crores in HY20 (6 months ending Mar 31, 2020).
  • EBITDA for 6 months ended 31st Mar 2021 stood at Rs. 913 crores. It was growth of 29.7% from 6 months ended 31st Mar 2020 EBITDA of Rs. 704 crores.
  • EBITDA Margin for HYFY21 stood at 14.3% as compared to HYFY20 EBITDA margin of 13.3%.
  • PBT for HY21 stood at Rs. 785 crores as compared to Rs. 565 crores in HY20, a growth of 39.1%.
  • PAT increased by 42.2% to Rs. 618 crores in HY21 as compared to Rs. 435 crores in HY20. PAT margin stood at 9.7% improving from 8.2% for same period previous year.

 

Consolidated HY21 results (6 months Ended 31st Mar 2021)

  • The income from operations increased by 23.8% to Rs. 6,409 crores in HY21 (6 months ending Mar 31, 2021) from Rs. 5,177 crores in HY20 (6 months ending Mar 31, 2020).
  • EBITDA for 6 months ended 31st Mar 2021 stood at Rs. 940 crores. It was growth of 31.6% from 6 months ended 31st Mar 2020 EBITDA of Rs. 714 crores.
  • EBITDA Margin for HYFY21 stood at 14.7% as compared to HYFY20 EBITDA margin of 13.8%.
  • PBT for HY21 stood at Rs. 803 crores as compared to Rs. 574 crores in HY20, a growth of 40%.
  • PAT increased by 42.7% to Rs. 630 crores in HY21 as compared to Rs. 441 crores in HY20. PAT margin stood at 9.8% improving from 8.5% for same period previous year.

 

Segment Performance Q2FY21

  • The Energy division posted a revenue of Rs. 1,191 crores in Q2FY21 with a growth of 16% YOY. The revenue for HY21 stood at Rs. 22,08 crores and a growth of 15.3% YOY.
  • The Smart Infrastructure revenue stood at Rs. 1,150 crores in Q2FY21 with a growth of 30% YOY. The revenue for HY21 stood at Rs. 2,032 crores and a growth of 32.5% YOY.
  • The Mobility division posted a revenue of Rs. 259 crores in Q2FY21 with a growth of 23% YOY. The revenue for HY21 stood at Rs. 480 crores and a decline 2.3% of  YOY.
  • The Digital Industries division posted a revenue of Rs. 792 crores in Q2FY21 with a growth of 39% YOY. The revenue for HY21 stood at Rs. 1,561 crores and a growth of 38.6% YOY.
  • The Portfolio companies posted a revenue of Rs. 130 crores in Q2FY21 with a growth of 39.4% YOY. The revenue for HY21 stood at Rs. 193 crores and a growth of 15.8% YOY.

 

Highlights

  • The company registered new orders worth Rs. 3,309 crores from continuing operations. This was a growth of 16.9% from same period last year. 
  • The company had growth in new orders, revenue and profitability in all the divisions.
  • The company’s order backlog stands at a Rs.12,677 crores on Mar 31, 2021.
  • There is a increase in demand for the company’s power transmission, digital grid and distribution systems business.
  • Digital Industries division witnessed growth in machine tool and process automation businesses.
