1. Introduction
All mutual funds have a buy and sell cut-off time. The time before which you get the current day’s NAV is called cut-off time. The NAV (Net Asset Value) of cut-off time fixes the day, which’s NAV will be applicable to our investment.

Many online portals and mutual fund accounts have a different cut-off time which is generally 2 PM for their investors. This is to help them process applications at the back end, and then route it to the fund house.
It's good to know cut-off timings, but there is no need to think too much about deadlines. It may matter if the investment or redemption amount is high otherwise, a day here or there won't make much difference in the long run.
