Orbit Exports Limited was originally incorporated in the state of Maharashtra on September 16, 1983 in the name and style of Orbit Exports Private Limited. The name of the company was subsequently changed on conversion to a public limited company under section 31/44 of the companies Act 1956 and the company obtained fresh certificate of Incorporation dated September 30,1994.
Orbit Exports, a company registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956, is a government recognised Star Export House engaged in the manufacture and export of fancy fabrics.
The company deals in fancy textiles that find its uses in Christmas Craft, ladies dress material & home textiles. The company has core strength in marketing value added fabrics and metallic brocades to niche markets around the globe.
From traditional markets in the Far East like Indonesia/Malaysia to far off markets in Africa and Latin America the company sells to specialised buyers. With the US markets opening up post quota, there has been a significant increase in demand for all the various products offered by the company.
The company recorded a sales turnover of Rs 1646.06 lakh in the year 2004-05 which was a growth of 70% over the previous year. The profitability too went up to Rs 191.37 lakh as compared to huge loss of Rs (332.17) Lacs in the previous year.
In the first half of the current financial year the company has achieved a growth of 10% over and above corresponding period of the last year. The profit level is the same as the company is investing in the new range of fabrics, sampling, system development etc.
