KMC Speciality Hospital (I), formerly Seahorse Hospitals Ltd is a renowned hospital situated in Trichy was incorporated in 1999. The hospital boasts of a 24-hour cardiac care with facilities comparable to metropolitan cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, etc.
KMC hospital, in its decennial year of operations has added numerous feathers to its cap.From a humble beginning of 30 beds in 1999 it has come a long way to 400 beds by acquiring Seahorse Hospital. The number of doctors in the hospital has grown from 10 to 100 and the satff members have grown to over 1000.
Seahorse hospital management was taken over by KMC by the end of February 2008 .Now all the procedural formalities have been completed and hence forth it will be called as KMC Speciality Hospital, has came into effect from December 12 2008. KMC Group of Hospitals is planning to invest further Rs.10 crore to upgrade all the existing facilities.
To reaffirm the high level of healthcare which they are providing, they have started the accreditaion process for National Accreditaion Board for Hospital (NABH) and for National Accreditaion Board for Laboratories (NABL). The hospital has full time consultants in all the basic specialties. Especially Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Cardiology, ENT, Dental, Joint Replacement, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, diabetology, etc. The hospital will be starting infertility Management very soon.

KMC Speciality Hospitals (I) , offers a comprehensive cardiac health check up scheme called 'Healthy Heart'.This includes a detailed cardiac examination by physicians and cardiologist followed by a wide range of investigations that include blood tests, to check for diabetes, high cholesterol and kidney disease, urine tests, ECG, Echo 2D etc.
