Founded in 1975 by S P Agarwala, Ellenbarrie is a trusted and respected name in industry circles and supplies its products to thousands of direct and indirect customers. It is a manufacturer and supplier of a range of oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other industrial gases.

a) Oxygen - Oxygen has been and is the primary product of the company. Although oxygen finds widespread applications in industries across the board as a process requirement its largest user group still remains the steel making industry. With increased environment awareness oxygen is being extensively used for treatment of waste water. Ellenbarrie provides oxygen both in bulk and packaged forms.
b) Medical Oxygen - In October 2002 the company made a very successful foray into the production and marketing of medical oxygen. Within the first year the company obtained a significant market share thanks to its superior product and the trust of its customers in it.
c) Nitrogen - Nitrogen today is used in food processing and packaging, cold storages, oil and gas exploration, pharma and also for animal husbandry. Ellenbarrie has also successfully developed techniques for management of fires in underground coal mines through extensive use of nitrogen. The company markets nitrogen in different packaging and grades to cater to various customer segments.
c) Argon - Ellenbarrie supplies argon both in cylinders and larger quantities in tankers. Major users of Argon are the steel industry, the lamp and bulb industry and also for inert arc welding. For consumers requiring a very high purity percentage, Ellenbarrie provides ultra high purity argon.
d) High Purity Gases - Ellenbarrie manufactures high purity Nitrogen and Argon to meet the application specific needs of discerning consumers. The purity is customized according to the requirements of individual customers and can reach upto 99.9999%.
High Purity Nitrogen is used in secondary steel refining, casting, heat treatment, desulphurising , lamp industries, research, food packaging, optical fibre technology etc.
High Purity Argon is used as a carrier gas in gas chromatographs, in optical fibre technology, powder metallurgy and micro electronics.
e) Dissolved Acetylene gas - An oxy-acetylene flame is used for welding and cutting. It is also used in various heat treatments. The company manufactures and supplies dissolved acetylene gas in cylinders.
f) Nitrous Oxide IP - Nitrous Oxide has a medical use as a local and general anesthetic. A trendier use of this gas is as an additive for car racing.
g) Hydrogen - Ellenbarrie sources hydrogen for its customers in industries such as edible oils refining and chemicals. Hydrogen is also used for turbines cooling in power plants.
h) Carbon Dioxide - Ellenbarrie supplies Carbon Dioxide in steel cylinders of 56 litres water capacity. Carbon Dioxide is used in beverage manufacturing, welding, in the paints and varnishes industry, food packaging, pH control, enhanced oil recovery and fire control. Dry ice is used to maintain low temperatures.
i) Speciality Gases/Gas Mixtures - Ellenbarrie makes standardized and tailor made gas mixtures according to the customer's requirement. Typical applications are instrument calibration, lamp and bulbs, arc welding, fire fighting, material testing and research.
