MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

The Bharti Telesonic entered into a license contract with the DoT to deliver nationwide long-distance benefits across India in 2001. The leading multinational company joined hands with MTN Group in the year 2008.
Airtel joined hands with Alcatel & Videocon to launch a new scheme. Bharti Airtel announced that it would acquire a Warburg Pincus in February 2021.
Bharti Airtel acquired eminent service provider Tikona Infinet Limited in 2017. The firm Tata Teleservices was taken over by Bharti airtel leading to millions of customers of consumer mobile operations business of Tata Teleservices and Tata Teleservices Maharashtra joining airtel.

Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development recognized the efforts of team Airtel Ltd and awarded them for the same with the Gold Award at the People Development Awards.
